Beware of the quick money lure!
Be careful when purchasing a product that promises to teach you how to make a lot of money with very little work. They rely on strategies that are unethical or not sustainable for the long term. Websites that will earn you passive income come from hard work and dedication. Nothing less.
How to spot & avoid money making scams
Over the years that I've been in the online industry, I've seen many "get rich quick" products that promise you thousands of dollars a week. There's nothing wrong with earning that amount in a week, it would be a dream for anyone to be able to do that. But when they claim to be able to teach you how to do this for just a few hundred dollars, and on top of that tell you that you only need to work an hour a week, you've really got to start asking questions.
Tell me, are the great business people of this world rich & successful because they only work an hour a week?
It's more likely that they spent their early days working 60 hours a week instead of 40, and with that kind of work ethic they became successful. I'm not saying that we should all be working 60 hours a week on our websites. In fact you could actually do as little as an hour a week but the trade off is that you aren't going to be making thousands of dollars a week for an hour of your time.
If you want to compare & assess different products on the market that claim to teach you how to make money online, consider some of these points and then ask yourself if you believe in the product:
- How much work has gone into their website? You would think that a product that can earn you so much money in such a short time would have plenty of funds available to hire the best designers.
- Do they provide real examples that are up to date? Many of these get rich quick schemes rely heavily on "hit and run" tactics which means to do something unethical and make the money before they get shut down or the market becomes saturated. Be sure that any proof of earnings aren't from years gone by.
- How much of their identity is public? Are they all over the latest trends like Twitter & Facebook to promote their brand? Sites with a lot of public exposure can't disappear into the night so easily so that could mean they are serious about their product.
- Who runs the site? Do you know their name? What are their credentials?
- See those testimonials from happy customers? Try visiting their websites to see if they are still around. More often than not you will find they no longer exist.
- How clear is the product description? Do you know exactly what to expect for your money, and what's expected of you in order to achieve the outcome?
- What's the level of support you will receive? No doubt that to make money online, you need to know about websites. Do you feel comfortable that you can get help if needed?
These are some of the main points that should be on your checklist when assessing a product.
